The University of New Mexico has purchased a university-wide license for Globus,
a service that helps researchers transfer and share large datasets securely.

Globus moves files between computers, research storage systems, and participating
institutions. Transfers run in the background, recover automatically from network
interruptions, and verify file integrity—making it useful for large datasets or
many files.

CARC users can transfer data between their home, project, and scratch storage and
other Globus data collections around the world. Our
[Globus data transfer tutorial](/docs/tutorials/data-transfer/globus/) walks through
signing in with your UNM NetID, connecting your CARC account, and transferring files.
